What are some alternatives to exfoliating with a facial?
Thanks to today’s advanced science and technologies, we have many ways to resurface the skin by promoting the removal of dead, dull, and damaged skin cells. These cells then make way for new, fresh ones that support a healthy glow deep within the skin. Options include the application of a small instrument to the skin that lifts away impurities from the surface to encourage new skin cell growth and collagen remodeling. This form of mechanical resurfacing, microdermabrasion, may be appropriate for everything from sun damage (photoaging) to stretch marks, melasma (“mask of pregnancy”), and acne scars. Another category of resurfacing, chemical peels, involves applying a carefully selected solution to the skin to remove damaged cells and trigger beneficial healing. Do I have to undergo laser treatment to remove unwanted facial hair?
You may be a good candidate for dermaplaning. This service may be a standalone or complement to the Signature Facial. It involves using special tools and techniques to gently lift unwanted hair from above the lip and around the chin/jawline (“peach fuzz”). Along with such unwanted hair, dermaplaning also removes the build-up of dead cells on the outermost layer of skin. So, it can not only smooth your skin but also restore your skin’s youthful radiance and softness.
