The laser difference
Laser technologies are versatile; we can use them to treat everything from unwanted redness and dark spots to unwanted hair on the face and body. All laser-assisted treatments generally work in much the same way. The handheld laser device is directed safely and precisely toward the treatment area(s). The laser’s beam of light then generates energy. This energy produces heat. Controlled heat has myriad therapeutic effects.
This therapeutic energy/heat can precisely break up hyperpigmentation, damage fat cells, and even promote the body’s natural collagen production for firm, smooth, fresh-looking skin. Since the laser is a targeted treatment, the surrounding skin isn’t affected. As it relates to excess hair, highly concentrated light delivered by the laser penetrates the follicles underneath the skin. Hair grows from these sacs. The light is absorbed by the melanin or pigment that gives hair its color. As the light is absorbed, the hair shafts that extend above the skin’s surface are heated, and the follicles are damaged. This process inhibits the growth of treated hairs.
